Getting warmer...sort of.
Monday
I drew my dress this way because the material is so light and silky that every time I walked outside, my skirt would fly up with the wind. Luckily I was wearing some pretty opaque tights. This morning I considered going bare legged and I'm glad I decided against it.
Tuesday
I planned this outfit for the transitional weather we've been having. I thought that by midday I'd have to remove my leggings and cardigan and I would still have a fresh, spring outfit to show off. It was colder today than I expected, so all of my dowdy layers stayed on. Oh well, I guess it's an OK look too.
Friday
I love this dress more and more every time I wear it. It's easy to style and at the same time it's super cute on its own. I still can't wait until this summer when I don't have to wear it with so many layers.
Saturday
I was out shopping at my favorite store, My Sister's Closet, when an enthusiastic stranger raved about my outfit and asked if she could take my picture for her street style blog. I posed for her outside of the store, feeling a little foolish, but at the same time very flattered. Lucky for you, if you visit her site, you can actually see this outfit in the flesh...er internet flesh.

Daily Comic: April 21st 2014
A few years back, I kept a diary where I would draw a three panel comic strip about my day. It didn't have to be a story, just three events that I felt were comment worthy. The entries included overheard conversations, weird people I encountered, my outfit, if impressive, personal musings, etc. Sometimes the entries would be cryptic so as not to expose too many personal details, but most of the time, they were just funny drawings about my life. I've been wanting to revisit this activity and thought my blog was a perfect way to motivate me.
So, here it is, the first installment of my new comic diary. I probably won't keep up by doing one everyday, but I'll post them as they come.

I've got the transitional weather blues.
This past month, I was pretty lax about drawing my outfit everyday, which lead to wearing a bunch of really boring t-shirt and jeans ensembles. Really, I'm just sick of my winter clothes and don't care about what I wear until it starts to warm up around here. Come on Spring, let's kick it into gear, already.
Here's a week's worth of outfits from the past month that I decided to capture.
Finally, an outfit with these pants that doesn't make me look like a clown. Unfortunately, I did not go out to enjoy an Irish Car Bomb in this chic Saint Patrick's Day outfit. Actually, I don't think that's a thing. It's probably better that I didn't go out. This look would have gone unappreciated.
The shirt I drew and claim to have worn is not actually not what I wore. It doesn't really matter, but I didn't want anyone to think that I wore the same shirt two days in a row. It's very important that I point this out for some reason.
I don't know what's happening here. It must have snowed today.
These are my new favorite shoes. They look great with everything and are super comfortable. They're going to get a lot of wear this spring. I cannot express how versatile a pair of yellow heels can be. Wait, I can. They're very versatile.
It snowed today. The weather has been unseasonably cold all week, so I've been wrapping myself in cashmere and down coats. It's warm and cozy, but I hate it.
New. Favorite. Outfit.
I love this fun 60s look. While the weather is still a little chilly, I was able to coax a little Spring into my spirit with this bright orange vintage dress and not feel so miserable. How much do I love this dress? The answer is: A lot.
