Don't go, September!

Monday
Similar scarf - Savers

I'm wearing a lot of dresses from Mighty Swell Vintage this week.  Mighty Swell used to be a pop up shop in South Minneapolis with great prices, size selection and an awkward group fitting room.

Tuesday
Similar Dress - Mighty Swell
Similar slip
Similar earrings - Everyday People

I've come to the conclusion that these full skirted midi dresses do not look very good on me, but I don't seem to care.  They kind of rule.

I spelled brooch wrong...

All of the seashell jewelry is a tell.  I'm not mentally ready for Winter.

This dress is the best. The fabric is beautiful, the cut is flattering, the colors are bright and it works for every season.

I went dancing where the music was mostly 80s and 90s and thought it would be fun to dress up.  I was feeling very Karen Duffy.

I dyed my hair red and now it's purple.

Monday

Ok, so I still shop at Delia's.  I'm obviously too old for most of their clothing, but the Morgan fit pants are perfect and I can usually get them on sale for $20.

Tuesday

Everyone always thinks that these are Frye boots.  They are not.  I had spent all summer looking for the perfect fall boot, even considering shelling out the dough for a pair of Fryes when I stumbled upon these bad boys in a shitty little consignment shop in Pinetop, AZ.  They cost $20.  They are perfect.

Friday

I love love love this dress!  It's a bit short, but I plan on wearing it a lot in the winter with opaque tights or leggings.  It's super comfy and really darling. Yay for Opitz!!

Saturday

I coveted these Anthropologie pants for a long time but could never justify paying for them, luckily I had a gift certificate to Forever 21 and found these green polka dot ankle pants for way cheap.  They are not cords, more of a stretchy denim, but I still love them.  They fit like a dream too.

Introductions

Thursday

I ripped the shit out of the armpit of this dress.  Just fixed it up and I'm trying not to rip it again.  This happens a lot with my vintage dresses.

Friday

This blouse does not fit me.  It's about 2 sizes too big, but I can't help but love it and I can't help but wear it.  I have a thing for tan silk garments with white polka dots a la Pretty Woman.
It actually looks pretty great with a fitted jacket.

Saturday

I wear this hat almost everyday in the Fall and Spring.  I probably won't draw it every time.  I also wear my glasses a lot and I don't draw  them because it sucks to draw glasses.

Also, the opposite page in my sketchbook has a note that says "Anti psychotic drug that causes boys to grow breasts".  While drawing my daily outfit, I was also watching some late night television.  It seemed like every other ad was for Relion Group lawsuits.  It was getting pretty old until this hilarious ad appeared.  "If you are a male and took Risperdal as a minor or you have a son that took Risperdal as a minor and developed breasts, contact The Relion Group today."  I laughed for about 10 minutes and then began to suspect that I had dreamed it or made it up.

Sunday

Mostly focused on being comfy cozy here.  I need to take this sack-like dress in.  Something from Forever 21 is too big for me.  Has the world turned upside down?
